Software Engineer

Position Summary

The software engineer will build custom real-time trading applications. Software engineers may work on the following teams:

• Wolverine Trading Platform Team
  Role: Expand and optimize the proprietary equity, options, and futures electronic trading platform. The platform displays real-time data and performs order routing, order execution, position management, risk analysis, and profit and loss calculations.
• Rapid Applications Development Team
  Role: Design robust applications that automate trading processes and manage risk; deliver scalable solutions that handle large amounts of data efficiently; and build custom user interfaces that assist in trading operations.
• Market Data Team
  Role: Incorporate real-time market data into market-making and other high-performance systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform full life-cycle development of trading applications using C++, C#, SQL, and other languages
• Work with traders to determine application requirements
• Integrate custom systems with trading exchanges and market data vendors
• Support and maintain software

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or computer engineering
• History of academic excellence, with a minimum 3.0 GPA
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design and development
• Knowledge of C++, C#, the .NET framework, and SQL is preferred, but not required
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Desire to work in a team environment
• Interest in financial markets
