300 Strong and Growing
Established in 1994, Wolverine has grown continuously and stably as a leading proprietary trading firm on a broad range of listed securities and derivatives. Our commitment to industry excellence and exceptional employee benefits is reflected by our high average employee tenure and low turnover rate.
Cutting Edge Technology and Innovative Problem Solving
Our technology and trading teams collaborate to develop lucrative and forward-thinking solutions that maintain our competitive advantage in a fast, ever-changing industry. We greatly value individuals with ingenuity, drive, and excellent critical thinking skills.
Wolverine places high importance on quality education and training. Our dedicated education staff teaches a variety of extensive trading and technology courses. While new hires start with fundamental classes that combat the learning curve, seasoned employees attend intense master courses customized to push their level of expertise.
We believe in working together to nurture the ambition and curiosity in each of us. Wolverine has a flat structure that encourages teamwork amongst different business units as well as accessibility to Partners. Our mentoring program was developed to give guidance, encouragement, and visibility to new employees.
Elaborate Internship Programs
Our summer internship programs for trading and software engineering were designed to give students a full immersion experience of our daily work life. Students have the opportunity to work on nontrivial projects and to enjoy Chicago's exciting city life through company organized intern outings.
A Company That Plays Together Stays Together
Developing camaraderie outside the office carries into the workplace. Wolverine unites its diverse and vibrant individuals by organizing several activities throughout the year including Cubs outings, softball, kickball, Whirlyball, volleyball, picnics, races, and monthly Expiration parties to celebrate our hard work.
Profit Sharing Plan
Wolverine invests in the future of its employees by contributing an additional percentage of an employee's compensation to their 401K. Regardless of an employee's decision to put money into their accounts, we make this contribution.
Food for Thought
We understand that our brains need fuel to take on a challenging day. Wolverine employs an exceptional kitchen staff to nourish us with breakfast, lunch, and snacks throughout the day.
Every Day Is Casual Friday
Because coming into the office sharp and fully charged is our first priority; we have a casual dress code.
Sharing Is Caring
While Wolverine does an exemplary job enriching its workforce, we also care about our community. Through the Cristo Rey Jesuit High School Corporate Work Study Program, students experience the business world while financing their education. On a university level, we strive to bring trading realities into classrooms with our electronic trading workshops at University of Chicago and University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) campuses. Our commitment is further showcased by the WEX Fellowship Program at UIUC, where WEX Fellows become resident experts on our trading software while earning money.
